DR. MICHAEL MANNING

Dr. Manning is the founder of Mississippi Vein Institute. Mississippi Vein Institute was created in 2008 with the goal of creating a center of excellence for the treatment of varicose veins, spider veins, and venous ulcerations. Dr. Manning has assembled an incredibly talented team whose mission is exceptional treatment results coupled with an unsurpassed patient experience. He is passionate about his work and takes great pride in providing his patients with fantastic results. 

Background

Dr. Manning is a Diplomate of the American Board of Phlebology, the American Board of Anesthesiology, and the American Board of Pain Medicine. After completing medical school at the University of Mississippi (1991), Dr. Manning completed his internship at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN (1992). He and Scarlette then moved to Winston-Salem, NC where he began his anesthesia residency at Wake Forest. The anesthesia residency program at Wake Forest is among the top anesthesia programs in the country. Dr. Manning completed his anesthesia and pain training at Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, NC (1995). Dr. Manning founded the pain management program at Methodist Hospital in Jackson, MS before joining the staff at St. Dominic’s Hospital as an anesthesiologist. He has a tradition of leadership, having served as president of Physicians Anesthesia Group at St. Dominic’s Hospital and as president of the Mississippi Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Manning was trained in phlebology by Dr. John Kingsley at the Alabama Vascular and Vein Center in Birmingham, AL. Dr. Kingsley is an internationally recognized expert in the field of phlebology. Dr. Manning furthered his phlebology training by becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Phlebology. He is also a member of the American College of Phlebology and the Mississippi State Medical Association. Dr. Manning is a recognized expert in the field of phlebology and is a frequent guest speaker on the subject at medical conferences throughout the state. Dr. Manning founded Mississippi Vein Institute in 2008 and has successfully performed thousands of endovenous laser procedures. Dr. Manning is committed to achieving exceptional treatment results for his patients. His diverse medical training ensures a high degree of safety for his patients during all procedures performed at Mississippi Vein Institute. Dr. Manning has been married since 1987 and has 2 sons and 1 daughter. He grew up in the Mississippi Delta (Drew) on a cotton farm. Interesting fact: Dr. Manning is a member of the Manning clan that includes Archie, Peyton, and Eli Manning.

DR. CLIFF ADAMS

Background

Dr. Adams was trained in the management of venous disorders by Dr. Manning’s mentor, Dr. John Kingsley, at the Alabama Vascular and Vein Center in Birmingham, AL. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Phlebology and the American Board of Anesthesiology. After completing medical school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, LA (1991), Dr. Adams completed his internship at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA (1992). He completed his anesthesia residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS in 1995. Doctor Adams is a distinguished member of the following medical organizations: The American Medical Association, The Mississippi Medical Association, The American College of Phlebology. Dr. Adams is married and has 2 sons and 1 daughter. He grew up in Tallulah, LA. Interesting fact: Dr. Adams's college roommate was the country music singer, Tim McGraw.
